When you arrive in Barcelona, the blue Aerobús is the easiest way to get into the centre (it stops in Plaza España, Urgell, and Plaza Catalunya) and you can save some €s by buying a return ticket. You can buy your ticket in advance, at the automatic booth, or from the driver.
Taxis are also readily available at the airport taxi rink, and throughout the city. Taxi prices are generally quite affordable in Barcelona, and drivers will take you direct to your destination via the fastest route. A taxi is available to be hailed if it has a green light on top. You can also order a taxi using the app FreeNow.
Once in Barcelona, you can take advantage of the excellent bus & metro service to see the sights. If you’ll be taking more than 5, buy a Zone 1 T-Casual card, valid for 10 trips with no time limit.
Barcelona has fantastic bike lanes that you can use to cross the city easily, so renting a bike for the weekend is also a great alternative.

All festival workshops break for 1 hour for lunch. As restaurant service can vary, we recommend heading out to eat in smaller groups so that you can be back in time.
We’ve compiled a list of quick and tasty eats for on-the-go eating, or the full tapas experience near all the festival venues.
-
All workshops are either 1 full day (5 hours) or 2 full days (10 hours), starting at 10:00am and finishing at 4:00pm with a one-hour lunch break at 1:00pm. To make the most of each day, workshops will start promptly at 10:00am. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for your workshop to respect everyone’s time.
-
Please read the code of conduct which applies to participation in The Big Sing Musical Improv Festival. Workshop participants, teachers, performers, volunteers and administrative staff are expected to uphold these behavioral standards at all times to create a safe and welcoming environment for the benefit of all.

All That Snazz, Impro Big Band & Gothic Fairytales and & Ghost Stories all end in a showcase performance on the final day of the workshop. On the day of the show, improvisers should arrive at the Calabria 66 theatre at 6:30pm for a tech rehearsal. You don’t need to purchase a show ticket for the day you are performing in a workshop showcase.

Beginner workshops are perfect for those trying out musical improv for the first time and are especially planned to create an easy introduction for absolutely anybody.
All Levels workshops are just what they say on the label: for musical improvisers of all levels. If you’re comfortable in a regular improv or musical class, this workshop is for you!
Intermediate workshops are for improvisers who already have experience in musical improv. At a minimum, you should have a basic command of singing and scene work with some regular and musical improv courses under your belt.
Advanced workshops are for experienced improvisers performing musical improv at a professional or semi professional level.
